My amazing clients finally get to call Portland home!

I was connected with K+M through a friend in Hawaii in early 2024. They made a trip up on President’s day to see Portland again and really dive into different neighborhoods. They knew they weren’t quite ready to leave their city of 10+ years, but knew Portland was (most likely) the place they wanted to lay down roots. They briefly explored Denver in 2024 which reiterated their desire to live in Portland! We worked from a distance- each seeing awesome properties and sharing back and forth. I would go tour and send very detailed videos of each of the houses they were curious about. Just as 2025 rolled around, K+M said they were READY ready, so we started to make offers. It only took two to adjust expectations and pivot to something a bit less expensive and in the right school disctrict, but not their forever home!

Even with a significant budget, buying your “forever home” as your first home is not really the move! Equity only comes to fruition when you sell the house, and you should use the equity from your first (and maybe your second) home before you’re able to settle on the forever home.

So glad these clients were up for suggestions, along for the ride and held on tight when things got wild. I couldn’t be more proud of them or excited to welcome them to Portland!
